We are happy to welcome you to the 25th VTLS Europe, Middle East and Africa Users’ Group Meeting which will take place on 7, 8 and 9 September at the Conference Centre Wallenberg and will be hosted by Gothenburg University Library in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Over three days, this meeting will bring together librarians, informatics experts and administrators from throughout the region interested in discussing and sharing ideas and practices. As every year, a number of VTLS staff will also be on hand to provide training and answer your questions.
Activities will include:
- Training seminars.
- Keynote speaker, Professor Sven-Eric Liedman, a highly respected researcher and intellectual in the field of history of ideas.
- VTLS news – developments, features, products, people.
- Show and Tell – where you and your colleagues have the opportunity to describe innovations and new projects at you library.
- Ample time for Q and A, both among delegates and with VTLS representatives.
- Closing presentation by Dr. Vinod Chachra, President of VTLS. He will conclude the meeting with his traditional remarks elaborating on developments and trends in information science and the information industry.
- Evening receptions to enjoy some relaxing time and socialize with colleagues.
